Comments:
This image was originally called "Green Oil". I did not
like this image until I noticed the shimmering quality of the
colors... almost like oil on water. Then, I framed the
image and hung it on the wall. The single black mandelbrot
in the middle of the bottom half of the image gave me the
impression of something looking for a place to be alone in its
turbulent surroundings. Thus the new title.
I somehow lost the parametric file that generated "In Search of Solitude" (number 1) after I had created a 34"x34" framed print of it. Because of this, "In Search of Solitude" and "In Search of Solitude 2" are unique and only one print exists.
